Rewind about a month....

To Byron's Graduation. I"m going to go backwards in time for the next few posts since we had so many major events going on. The first major event was Byron's graduation from Wake Forest Medical school this May. He looked so handsome in his cap and gown :) Actually- the gown is sort of funny- it looks like a court jester uniform. But- hey- we're proud of him anyway. He's worked really hard these last four years and I'm so proud of him. I got to see first hand how much perserverance, effort and faith it took to come out on the other end successfully. Way to go Byron!

He'll be going into Neurosurgery in San Antonio, TX. He'll be the 3rd generation in this profession as seen in the picture below. It's a seven year residency so we'll be livin' in Texas for a while. I know this is going to be a tough few years, but I know he can do it. He's a very determined young man, and God has great plans for him! Let's just hope we can adjust to the heat!

Welcome to San Antonio

Hello Friends and family! This is my attempt to keep you all up to date on the happening's of the new Branch Family. All of my bloggin' friends have inspired me to post some pictures and write a few blurbs about our events. A ton has happened in the last five weeks so the first few posts will have lots to show! Our lives are not generally this action packed.

We compacted several major life changing events in one month: graduation from Medical school, Getting married, honeymoon, move across the country, and starting a new job (for Byron at least...I'm still working on gettin' one). Phew. It's been two weeks since we arrived and we've just not gotten everything out of boxes and put away.

We have a cute little two story condo here in San Antonio near the medical center. I haven't fingured out all the tools for posting pictures yet, but I promise there will be more. For now- the pic of the pool and of our living room will have to do. We have two bedrooms, both with master baths and closets, living room, little kitchen, dining area, back patio and a pool right outside our door. However- the its too hot to even layout in the pool!
Byron has started orientation for residency this week so I've been able to go shop, hunt for jobs, and do the miscellaneous things around the house while he's been out. I wanted to soak up all the time with him I could during those first three weeks of marriage since I know once his intern year starts- I will see very little of him.
That's all for now. Stay tuned for more to come!
