Saturday we had a little party for the Barretts. They are moving to Charlotte in a few weeks and we are really gonna miss them. It's been fun having so many couples/friends in the same stage of life as us. We had a little pool party over at Grandma's and all the little ones had a blast floating around and shooting pool hoops with the parents. I'm just sad I didn't bring a camera.
Sunday was Byron's first father's day and poor Daddy had to work. But we grabbed some take out and headed to our special spot (the loading dock) for a family picnic. Excpet that it is WAAAAYYY to hot this time of year in Texas so we sat in the car and ate our burritos instead. Wyatt loved giggling with Daddy and playing peekaboo. He really lights up whenever Byron comes home. He is all smiles- and it's the sweetest thing to watch them play together.
We came home for a nice Sunday afternoon nap and just took the afternoon/evening easy. Monday was my first day back so I wanted to enjoy my time with him. We walked, played, bounced, and went to the pool. He's my little buddy.
Byron has really grown into an amazing Daddy. I'm so thankful for him and all he does for our family. He loves our little boy and works really hard to provide for us. He cleans up spit up, gives baths, changes nasty diapers and laughs with me at all Wyatt's antics. I'm so thankful to be in this together.
